Buying a used vehicle without a professional inspection can lead to unexpected repair costs after purchase. CMM Automotive recently completed a Mobile Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection Victoria Park on a 2007 Toyota Corolla on Albany Highway, Victoria Park. Our detailed inspection uncovered several mechanical and safety concerns that every potential buyer should consider before making a purchase.
Interior Inspection
We began the Mobile Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection Victoria Park by inspecting the vehicle’s interior. The air conditioning was not producing cold air and requires servicing. We also found the rear headrests were missing from the rear seats. Although this is a simple issue to rectify, replacement headrests are recommended to improve passenger safety and comfort.
Engine Inspection
Next, we inspected the engine bay and its components. Our battery test returned a poor result, indicating the battery is nearing the end of its service life. We also detected a minor rattle coming from the plastic engine cover. While this was not a major mechanical concern, it should be secured correctly to prevent further vibration or wear.
Steering, Brakes and Suspension
Our inspection of the steering, brakes and suspension identified splits in the left-hand control arm bushes. These components should be replaced to maintain safe steering and suspension performance. We also found the front brake rotors were in poor condition. The front brake pads required replacement. In addition, the rear brake drums had excessive wear lips. We recommend inspecting them during the next brake service.

Body and Exterior Inspection
We completed the Mobile Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection Victoria Park by inspecting the body and exterior. The front bumper had several scratches, while the rear bumper displayed a few minor cosmetic scratches. These marks are cosmetic only. However, buyers should consider them when assessing the vehicle’s overall condition.
Road Test
During the road test, the Toyota Corolla consistently pulled to the left-hand side. This fault may indicate a wheel alignment issue or worn steering and suspension components. We recommend further investigation before the vehicle is purchased.
