Buying a used vehicle without a professional inspection can lead to unexpected repair costs. CMM Automotive recently completed a Mobile Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection Wangara on a Ford Falcon at Conquest Cars in Wangara. Our inspection identified several mechanical, electrical and cosmetic faults that could influence a buyer’s decision.
Interior Inspection
We began the Mobile Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection Wangara by inspecting the interior. We found minor scratches on the rear matching inner trims and minor marks on the roof lining. The sun visors and glove box felt slightly loose when opened. The washer jets did not spray correctly during testing. We also found the air conditioning was not producing cold air. The steering wheel grip showed minor splits, and the horn was not operating.
Engine Inspection
Next, we completed a detailed inspection of the engine bay and its components. Our battery test showed the battery had low capacity and may require replacement soon. We also found the air conditioning system required a regas. The radiator expansion bottle was cracked and should be replaced. In addition, the air filter mounting rubber had broken. We identified a slight engine oil leak from the rocker cover that will require monitoring and repair.
Body and Exterior Inspection
We continued the used car vehicle inspection by inspecting the body, chassis and exterior panels. We found minor damage to the left-hand front guard and the adjacent window pillar. Paint had started peeling from the affected area. The roof and several body panels also showed minor scratches and stone chips. We found additional marks on the rear bumper. The right-hand rear tail lamp assembly had a crack near the top of the indicator section, and the indicator lens had become foggy.
Road Test
We completed the Mobile Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection Wangara with a road test. During normal driving, the Falcon consistently pulled to the left-hand side. We recommend checking the wheel alignment, steering and suspension components to identify the cause before purchasing the vehicle.
