Buying a used vehicle without a professional inspection can lead to unexpected repair costs. CMM Automotive recently completed a Mobile Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection Wangara on a Toyota at DVG Mitsubishi. Our inspection identified several mechanical and cosmetic faults that could influence a buyer’s decision.
Interior Inspection
We began the Mobile Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection Wangara by inspecting the interior. Our inspection revealed minor marks on the driver’s side of the roof lining. Apart from this cosmetic wear, the cabin presented in reasonable condition for its age.
Engine Inspection
Next, we carried out a detailed inspection of the engine bay and its components. We found the plastic stone tray guard missing along with several retaining clips. The front stone guards were also missing their retaining cups. We identified an engine oil leak at the rear of the engine. During testing, the exhaust produced more noise than expected and requires further investigation.
Steering, Brakes and Suspension
We continued by inspecting the steering, brakes and suspension. Our inspection revealed a leaking right-hand front shock absorber. We also identified cracked lower control arm bushes on both sides. Minor damage was present on the right-hand rear wheel rim. These faults may affect handling and should receive attention.
Body and Exterior Inspection
We completed the Used car inspection by inspecting the body and exterior. Both front headlight indicator lenses had faded with age. We also found several minor scratches across the paintwork that were consistent with normal vehicle use.
Road Test
We completed the Mobile Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection Wangara with a road test. The Toyota developed a noticeable wheel wobble during driving. The front and rear tyres may have become out of shape and require further inspection. We also noticed the right-hand front suspension felt unusually stiff. The exhaust remained noisy throughout the road test, confirming the issue identified during the workshop inspection.
